Forty gallons is the workhorse size for gray tanks on mid-size coaches - big enough that showers do not fill it in a weekend, small enough to package under the floor. The 84H is the lightest of Ronco's four 40-gallon holding shells at 28 lb, a one-piece rotomolded polyethylene molding with no seams to fatigue and no factory-cut holes to work around.
Full weight is the number that matters for mounting: 40 gallons of waste runs roughly 334 lb, hanging from whatever straps or cradle you give it. The other three 40-gallon shapes are the 5H at 56.5 x 19 x 12.5 inches, the heavier-walled 103H, and the 71H; one size down is the 39-gallon 55H at 49 x 24 x 10 inches.
Match the 84H's outline to your bay using the drawing below - print it, verify, then mark your drain, vent, and inlet locations on the sheet. Fittings are installed per order in Tustin, California, spin-welded or threaded to your marks, by the shop that has been rotomolding tanks since 1974. Gray and black water only; this is not a potable molding. Full range: RV holding tanks.
