Fifty-six and a half inches long, 19 wide, 12.5 tall: the 5H is the long-and-lean take on a 40-gallon waste tank, drawn to run lengthwise along a frame rail where a wide pan will not clear the exhaust or the spare tire winch. It is the only one of Ronco's four 40-gallon holding shells with published dimensions, which makes it the easy first check against a measured bay.
The shell is 33 lb of seamless rotomolded polyethylene; the load is another story - roughly 334 lb of gray or black water at capacity, so give the mounting hardware the respect that number deserves. If the proportions are wrong, the undimensioned siblings are the 103H, 84H, and 71H - outlines on their drawings - and just below sits the 39-gallon 55H at 49 x 24 x 10 inches if you need less height.
Like the whole holding line, the 5H arrives blank with fittings installed per order. Print the drawing below, mark drain, vent, and inlet where your plumbing lands, and Ronco spin-welds or threads them there before it leaves Tustin, California - the same made-to-your-marks process the shop has used since 1974.
