A note on DEF handling
The one mistake to avoid with a DEF tank is contamination. Diesel exhaust fluid is sensitive to dirt, fuel residue, and the wrong hardware, so treat three contact points as DEF-dedicated: keep the 8-inch lid sealed between fills, run hoses and a pump used for nothing but DEF, and confirm any bulkhead or outlet fitting you add is rated for DEF service before it touches the fluid.
