Match the fittings and gaskets to the chemical
The stock 3" PP bulkhead is not right for every service - match wetted parts to the chart. DEF (32.5%) and Urea Solution (50%) both call for 316SS wetted parts on EPDM, so the stock PP outlet must be swapped to 316SS for those two high-volume services. Sulfuric Acid (98%) calls for CPVC fittings with Viton gaskets; Hydrochloric, Hydrofluoric, Hydrofluosilicic, Hydrogen Peroxide, Phosphoric, and Sodium Hypochlorite all want Viton over EPDM. Peracetic Acid runs 316SS on Aflas. Most salts and glycols run PVC or PP with EPDM.
