The Enduraplas 1100 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC01100KG) is a full-drain vessel built for process and chemical duty where you need to empty the tank completely between batches. The cone-bottom shell sits on its supporting stand at 113 inches tall on a 60-inch diameter footprint, carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, and is FDA Approved, so it is engineered to hold dense liquids, not just water.

Will it work for your process?

The tank ships with a 3-inch PP female NPT bulkhead fitting at the cone outlet for full gravity drainage and a 16-inch threaded vented manway up top for filling, inspection, and mixing access. Empty weight is 440 lb. The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters when you size the stand and the pad: at plain water this holds 1100 gallons at roughly 9,174 lb full, but the vessel is rated to carry contents up to 17,431 lb. Confirm the weight of your specific liquid at your fill volume against that ceiling before you commit. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide to check gallons against fluid weight, and see the technical drawing on this page for the exact port layout. Because this is a cone-on-stand configuration, match the stand rating to the loaded weight - the steel-frame vs polyethylene stand decision tree and the Enduraplas stand compatibility matrix walk through that choice.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank (resin listed as HDLPE?) rated to 1.9 specific gravity. Because the resin grade carries a question mark, confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before you put it into chemical service - crosslinked and linear polyethylene behave differently with some chemistries. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration and temperature specific, so verify your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and the fitting and gasket materials before ordering.

At its 1.9 SG rating this tank has the headroom to handle the heaviest chemistries on the chart, including Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC, Viton), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC, Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC, EPDM), Polyaluminum Chloride (PVC, EPDM), Potassium Carbonate (50%, PVC, EPDM), and Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM). Water-treatment mainstays such as Sodium Bisulfite and Sodium Bisulfate (both PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%, PVC, EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate (20%, PVC, EPDM), and Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM) are on the same chart. Lighter-duty chemistries include Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), DEF (32.5%, 316SS), Urea Solution (50%, PP/PVC), and Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS, Aflas gaskets - note the specialized fitting and gasket call-out).

The mistake to avoid on a cone tank is trusting the stock fitting for aggressive chemistries. The supplied cone outlet is a 3-inch PP bulkhead - for chemistries the chart pairs with a different material (CPVC for sulfuric acid; PVC for hydrochloric, phosphoric, hydrogen peroxide, and sodium hypochlorite; 316SS for DEF and peracetic acid), the outlet fitting and its gasket must be specified or swapped to match. Match fitting material (PP, PVC, CPVC, 316SS) and gasket (EPDM, Viton, Aflas) to the chemical, not to the tank. Full details are in our Chemical Compatibility Database.
