A 2 inch full port male by female valve with a blue handle, for Norwesco tanks
Part number 62286 is Norwesco's 2 inch full port valve in polypropylene, male thread on one end and female on the other, with a blue lever handle. Male by female screws straight into a 2 inch female bulkhead fitting on the tank and leaves a 2 inch female port on the outside for your camlock, hose adapter or pipe, so the valve sits right at the wall with no nipple in between. Full port means the bore through the ball is the full 2 inch size, so a gravity drain or a pump suction is not throttled. It weighs 3 lb and ships in a small carton by UPS.

What to check before you buy
- The size. 2 inch. It matches the 2 inch bulkhead fittings Norwesco installs as the standard outlet on most of its tanks.
- The ends. Male into the tank fitting, female out. If you want male thread on the outside for a camlock, Norwesco's male by male compact valve is the other option; tell us which port you have.
- The liquid. Polypropylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals. For anything aggressive, check the liquid against the valve body before you order.

Installing it
Thread the male end into the tank fitting by hand with a sealant that suits the liquid, then snug it so the handle ends up where you can reach it with the tank full and in place; a handle that points at a wall gets left half open. Support whatever hangs off the female end. Work it once with water in the tank before the first real fill, and leave it closed when the tank is unattended.
