A 2 inch male by male full port compact valve with a blue handle, for Norwesco tanks
Part number 62288 is Norwesco's 2 inch full port compact valve in polypropylene, with a male thread on both ends and a blue lever handle. Male by male screws into a 2 inch female bulkhead fitting on the tank and presents a male thread on the outside, which is what a female camlock coupler or hose adapter wants. Compact means a short body that sits close to the wall where a boot or a pallet fork cannot catch it. Full port means the bore through the ball is the full 2 inch size, so a gravity drain or a pump suction is not throttled. The valve is about 5 inches long and 9.13 inches tall to the top of the handle, and ships by UPS.

What to check before you buy
- The size. 2 inch. It matches the 2 inch bulkhead fittings Norwesco installs as the standard outlet on most of its tanks.
- The ends. Male into the tank fitting, male out. If you want a female port on the outside, Norwesco's male by female valve with the same blue handle is the other option.
- The liquid. Polypropylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals. For anything aggressive, check the liquid against the valve body before you order.

Installing it
Thread one male end into the tank fitting by hand with a sealant that suits the liquid, then snug it so the handle ends up where you can reach it with the tank full and in place. Support whatever hangs off the outside end. Work it once with water in the tank before the first real fill. On a transport tank, check that a strap or a load cannot knock the handle open.
