Choosing among Ronco's three 20-gallon fresh water tanks is a game of inches, and the RV39W's hand is 35 x 13 x 11 - the narrowest of the trio at 13 inches wide, with an 11-inch height that keeps a healthy liquid column over the outlet. Sheet designation: "39 W L.D.", the maker's light-duty potable spec.
That spec means FDA-compliant natural polyethylene molded translucent, so the water level shows through the wall - the material system Ronco reserves for drinking water. The blank weighs 14 lb; full, it carries about 167 lb (water runs 8.34 lb per gallon), so tie the mounting into floor or frame structure.
Its two rivals split the remaining geometries: the RV57W is wider and shorter at 32 x 16.5 x 10 inches, and the RV72W goes low-profile at 35 x 19 x 7.75 inches - all 20 gallons, three different bays. Want to place the fittings yourself? Choose the blank tank: it ships with no fittings at no charge. Add the 90-2218 fitting kit ($55.75). It includes an access plate with six stainless steel screws, washers and nuts to mount it, a 1-1/2" NPT plug, two 1/2" NPT plugs, two 5/8" thru-hull fittings for supply and vent, and one 1-1/2" thru-hull fitting for fill.
