What to check before you buy

1. The fittings. The outlet and manway sizes for this tank come from Norwesco's drawing linked on this page. Tell us the valve, camlock or hose you plan to use and we will confirm the match in writing before the tank ships. Do not buy the valve first.
2. The pad. A rotationally moulded floor bears on everything it touches and nothing else. Give the whole 98 inch circle continuous, level contact: a slab, a steel plate, or a compacted and screeded bed with a retained edge. No rails, no pallet, no shim under one side.
3. Restraint. An empty polyethylene tank is a sail. Strap it to a wall, a frame or ground anchors before the first fill, and check the strap after it has been full once and settled.
4. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity. Polyethylene suits water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals; check anything else with us before you order, and ask about the service temperature if the liquid runs warm.
