2500 Gallon Plastic Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

A compact tank for dense liquids

Dense liquids are where a tank earns its rating. Brines for road and well work, many acids and caustics, ferric and aluminum based water treatment chemicals and some fertilizer blends all weigh well over water, and they press hardest on the lower wall. This tank is built for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity. Full of water it holds 20,850 lb (2500 x 8.34); filled with a 1.9 liquid, 39,615 lb (2500 x 1.9 x 8.34). Rate the tank to the heaviest liquid it will ever hold, and check that liquid against the material in our chemical compatibility guide.

The footprint is a 90 inch circle and the height 107 inches, so it fits a compact pad or a containment area along a building wall. That weight on a small circle is also why the pad matters: flat, solid, wider than the base, with no low edge and nothing under the floor. Our 2500 gallon white tank buyer's guide covers the wider, lower alternative if your site has floor and no height. Check the volume with the tank sizing calculator.

Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting near the floor. For an aggressive liquid, confirm the gasket material with us as well as the fitting body.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 107 inches up.
3. Temperature. No temperature limit is listed for this tank. Tell us the storage temperature and we will confirm it with Snyder before you order.
4. Vent. Pipe the vent outdoors on anything that fumes, and size it to the fill rate if a truck pump fills it.
5. Containment. Most chemical sites require secondary containment around a bulk tank. Check your local code and size the containment before the pad is poured.
6. Drawing. The drawing on this page is Snyder's drawing for the black heavy duty version of this tank (8140000C34). Ask us to confirm fitting positions.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL from Marked Tree, AR, at 570 lb. The freight cost estimator gives the cost to your ZIP. Unload it with a forklift or loader and straps around the body. At the tailgate, check 8140000C26 on the bill of lading and inspect the wall and the outlet for damage. Fill it with water first and hold it while you check the outlet and the pad; only then bring in the chemical.

Add it to your cart at the top of this page, get LTL freight to your ZIP, or call 866-418-1777. The listed price is before freight.
