The 4 inch First Flush Diverter Kit, Bushman part number 39021, diverts the first and dirtiest roof runoff away from a rainwater tank on a 4 inch downpipe.
What is in the kit
The fittings to build the diverter: brackets, tee junction, screw cap with hose connector, sealing ball and ball seat, filter screen and flow control gaskets. The chamber is 4 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe, bought locally.
How it works
The first runoff fills the chamber until the ball seals it, then clean water flows on to the tank, and a slow release valve drains the chamber between storms. Size the chamber to your roof with our first flush diverter sizing guide. The 3 inch version is part 39022.
