The First Flush Contractor Kit, Bushman part number 64331, has the parts to build a first flush diverter for a rainwater tank, without the PVC pipe, so installers can use pipe bought locally.
How it works
The diverter holds the first, dirtiest roof runoff in a chamber that seals once full, so the cleaner water that follows goes on to the tank. The held water drains out through a drip emitter with a threaded cleanout before the next storm. Hose off the filter every other storm.
