The Enduraplas 7011 Gallon Vertical Water Storage Tank is a bulk polyethylene reservoir built for high-volume static water: fire-suppression reserves, agricultural and irrigation supply, industrial process water, and rain or reuse aggregation. It stands 124 inches tall on a round 142-inch outside diameter, so you plan the pad and clearance around a wide, low-profile vertical rather than a tall, tippy column. Filled to 7,011 gallons, the tank and its contents load the pad at roughly 58,472 pounds — and that number drives everything below it.

Will it work for your site?

This is a vertical water storage tank built for non-potable water service. The technical drawing on this page shows the outlet and fitting layout: a 3-inch bolted fitting, a 2-inch threaded fitting, and a 16-inch lid for access, gauging, and venting. Know what mates to each before you order — the bolted fitting seals on a gasket (EPDM for water service) and takes a flanged, bolt-pattern connection, while the 2-inch threaded port accepts standard NPT thread. Confirm your fill line, draw line, and overflow all land on fittings that exist on this tank, because retrofitting bulkheads into a filled 7,000-gallon tank is not a field job. For sizing against your demand, draw-down, and refill cycle, run the numbers through our Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide so the reserve volume matches the duty, whether that is a rural fire reserve or an industrial reuse train.

Pad and install: get the foundation right

The tank arrives empty and light, then gains roughly 58,000 pounds on its first fill, so it needs a level, fully supporting foundation across the entire round base — a poly tank is not self-supporting and will not bridge a soft spot or an out-of-level pad. Because 142 inches is the outside diameter, size the pad and any containment to a 142-inch circle plus clearance, not a square block. Our guide on concrete pad sizing for above-ground polyethylene tanks walks the ACI 360R-10 framework for exactly this load class, and the hydrostatic test methodology covers that first-fill acceptance check — filling in stages while you monitor pad settlement and check every fitting for leaks before the tank goes into service.

Common mistakes to avoid

The mistake that costs the most here is treating this as a chemical tank. This is a water-service tank; if your application involves fertilizer, brine, or any solution heavier than water, that may change the correct tank spec and this may not be the right choice — call before you fill so we can confirm the specific-gravity rating for your solution. In cold climates, plan freeze protection up front: the 58,472-pound water mass carries real thermal inertia, but the 16-inch lid and top fittings are the freeze-vulnerable points that ice up and block venting first. Our fire-water reservoir design guide and the industrial water reuse topology guide cover cold-service and multi-tank storage-train layouts.
