The Enduraplas 10,000 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC10000KG) is a full-drain vessel built for continuous chemical and process service where you need every gallon to evacuate through the bottom. It stands 202" tall on a 144"-diameter footprint, molded in green polyethylene with a 1.9 specific gravity rating and an empty weight of 2,050 lb. It ships with a 3" PP Female NPT bulkhead outlet at the cone apex and a 16" threaded vented manway up top, and it carries an FDA Approved designation. The vented manway is the detail that matters for off-gassing services like sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide — it lets the tank breathe instead of building pressure under an oxidizer. This is the tank people find searching "10000 gallon tank," "enduraplas," and "green cone bottom" when they need mixing, batching, or full-discharge storage a flat-bottom tank can't give them.

Will it hold what you're putting in it

The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters, and it's also the ceiling — 1.9 is the maximum specific gravity Enduraplas rates this resin for, so nothing on the compatibility list below requires a heavier-rated vessel. Filled with water the contents weigh about 83,400 lb; at the tank's maximum rated 1.9 specific gravity the contents can reach roughly 158,460 lb. Because a cone bottom carries its entire load on the stand rather than the ground, the stand and the pad underneath it have to be rated for that full figure — do not size to water weight if your product is heavier. Run your fluid's specific gravity and fill height through the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide before you commit, and confirm the cone/stand pairing against our stand selection decision tree and the Norwesco, Snyder, and Enduraplas compatibility matrix. At 202" — roughly 17 feet — top-fill access to the 16" manway and overhead building or canopy clearance are real siting checks to make before you book freight.

Chemical compatibility

This tank is molded polyethylene rated to 1.9 specific gravity. The resin is recorded as HDLPE but not fully confirmed — before any chemical service, confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us, since the two behave differently under sustained chemical load. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific; verify your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and the fitting and gasket materials before ordering.

At this tank's 1.9 SG rating, the OEM chart lists these as compatible: Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC fittings, EPDM gasket), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC/EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC/EPDM), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC/Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC/Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC/Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC/Viton), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS/Aflas), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC/Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride (PVC/EPDM), Potassium Carbonate (50%, PVC/EPDM), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC/EPDM), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS/EPDM), Sodium Bisulfate (PVC/PP/EPDM), Sodium Bisulfite (PVC/PP/EPDM), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC/Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%, PVC/EPDM), Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC/Viton), and Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS/EPDM). Lower-SG-rated products that this 1.9 tank also handles include Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), DEF (32.5%, 316SS/EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), Urea Solution (50%), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM). Match the fitting and gasket materials above to your service — the wrong gasket, not the tank wall, is the most common failure on chemical duty. Full detail lives in our Chemical Compatibility Database.

The mistake to avoid

The costliest error on a cone bottom this size is treating it like a water tank. The tank ships with a 3" PP Female NPT bulkhead — fine for many services, but two on the list above need something the standard outlet doesn't provide: Peracetic Acid and DEF both call for 316 stainless fittings, and Peracetic Acid specifies an Aflas gasket, which is a specialty elastomer, not the same as Viton. Oxidizers like sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide call for Viton, not the default EPDM. Confirm the resin type and the exact fitting and gasket materials for your chemical before you dose anything aggressive — call 866-418-1777 and we'll walk the outlet and manway hardware through with you rather than guessing at the standard configuration.

This tank ships LTL freight from the nearest Enduraplas plant to you — Converse, TX or Neche, ND — quoted live to your ZIP.
