The 1200 Gallon White Cone Bottom Tank with Stand from Enduraplas (SKU THC01200KW) is built for full-drain batching and chemical dosing, where you need every gallon to gravity-feed out the bottom rather than settle on a flat floor. It holds 1200 gallons in a natural white polyethylene body rated to a 1.9 specific gravity, stands 83 inches tall on a 90-inch diameter footprint, and ships with a stand. The empty tank weighs 250 pounds, and the pack is FDA approved.
Will it work for your process?
The tank comes fitted with a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead fitting at the cone tip for full discharge and a 16" threaded vented manway up top for filling, mixing, and inspection. The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters most here: it tells you how heavy a liquid the walls are engineered to carry, and 1.9 is the highest SG rating offered on this body, so there is nothing heavier to step up to. Water fills this tank to roughly 10,008 pounds, but at the full 1.9 rating the walls are cleared for up to about 19,015 pounds of contents. Size your stand anchoring and pad to that loaded number, not the empty weight. One dimension to note: the cone angle is not published for this SKU, so if drain time or residual heel is critical to your batch, confirm the cone degrees with us before you order. If you are still deciding on capacity or want to check drain time against your batch cycle, run the numbers through the Tank Sizing Calculator or read the Tank Sizing Guide. Because the whole point of a cone bottom is the stand, the steel-frame vs. poly stand decision tree and the Norwesco, Snyder, and Enduraplas stand compatibility matrix are worth a read before you commit.
Chemical compatibility
This is a polyethylene tank with a 1.9 SG rating, but its resin is not yet confirmed for this SKU (HDLPE vs. XLPE) — the pack carries a question mark, and since that distinction materially changes chemical resistance on a cone tank, we verify it before any chemical service. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific; confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and fitting plus gasket materials before ordering. Chemicals this tank body can carry include acetic acid (60%, PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), aluminum sulfate (50%, PVC, EPDM), calcium chloride (40%, PVC, EPDM), DEF (32.5%, 316SS, EPDM), ethylene glycol (100%, PVC, EPDM), ferric chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), ferric sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), ferrous sulfate (20%, PVC, EPDM), hydrochloric acid (37%, PVC, Viton), hydrofluoric acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), magnesium chloride (30%, PVC, EPDM), peracetic acid (30%, 316SS, Aflas), phosphoric acid (85%, PVC, Viton), polyaluminum chloride (PVC, EPDM), potassium carbonate (50%, PVC, EPDM), potassium hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM), propylene glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), sodium bisulfate (PVC/PP, EPDM), sodium bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), sodium carbonate (30%, PVC, EPDM), sodium hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), sodium thiosulfate (40%, PVC, EPDM), sulfuric acid (98%, CPVC, Viton), urea solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM), zinc orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM), and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM, PVC, EPDM). Read the required-SG column carefully: DEF, urea, acetic acid, aluminum sulfate, calcium chloride, and ozonated water only need a 1.35–1.5 rating, so this 1.9 body carries real headroom for them — but the aggressive acids on the chart (98% sulfuric, 37% hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, 85% phosphoric, sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide) require the full 1.9 rating with zero margin, so do not derate. Match your dosing-skid hardware to the chart's callouts too: plan on Viton gaskets for sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, and hydrogen peroxide; CPVC bodies for 98% sulfuric; Aflas seals for peracetic acid; and 316SS for DEF and peracetic acid. Verify the full spec against the OEM chart and our Chemical Compatibility Database.
The mistake to avoid
The single most common error on a cone bottom chem tank is trusting the 1.9 SG rating and then reusing the wrong fitting material at the outlet. The 3" bulkhead ships in PP, which is fine for many salts and glycols, but aggressive oxidizers and strong acids on this chart require PVC, CPVC, or 316SS bodies with Viton or Aflas seals. Putting an EPDM gasket on sodium hypochlorite or sulfuric acid service will fail long before the tank does. Confirm the resin (HDLPE vs. XLPE) and every wetted component before your first fill.
