The Norwesco 1250 Gallon Bruiser is a below-grade polyethylene storage tank built for direct burial, giving you 1,250 gallons of multi-use underground liquid storage. Molded in blue polyethylene, it measures 70 inches tall, 55 inches wide, and 116 inches long. Plan your excavation around the 55 in x 116 in footprint and roughly 10,425 lb filled weight, and remember the 70 in overall height governs your minimum dig depth before you add cover and bedding.

Will it work for your site?

For underground water and non-hazardous liquid storage, the numbers matter most before you break ground. Filled to capacity with water, this tank carries roughly 10,425 pounds, so your bedding, backfill, and any traffic loading above it have to be planned around that mass plus the surrounding soil. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator to confirm 1,250 gallons matches your draw-down and recharge needs, and the Tank Sizing Guide if you are deciding between this and a larger or smaller Norwesco underground tank. The same below-grade Bruiser also fits multi-use water-storage trains; the guide on industrial water reuse tank topology shows where buried storage sits in grey-water, rainwater, and condensate aggregation.

A note on what this tank is rated for

This is a water and general-purpose liquid tank. It carries no specific-gravity rating in our catalog, which means it is intended for water-weight service rather than dense chemical solutions. The common mistake on an underground Norwesco tank is treating "multi-use" as "any liquid" — heavier-than-water chemicals call for a tank with a published specific-gravity rating, and burial adds external soil and groundwater loads on top of the contents. Keep this one on water, dilute solutions at water weight, and similar non-hazardous service. If your application leans toward fire-water reservoir storage, the guide on fire-water reservoir tank design for rural and remote sites walks through NFPA 22 sizing and cold-climate freeze protection for polyethylene tanks. For any above-grade pad work on companion tanks, the concrete pad sizing guide covers the ACI 360R-10 framework.

Freight and ordering

This Norwesco Bruiser ships LTL freight, quoted live to your ZIP. Norwesco molds from several plants, so we route from the one nearest you — Lancaster, OH; Owego, NY; Tooele, UT; or Washougal, WA — to keep transit time and cost down across the country. The BigCommerce price is the tank list price before freight; get your freight estimate with the Freight Cost Estimator or call us at 866-418-1777 and we will quote it by hand. Whether you are searching for a Norwesco underground tank, a Bruiser, or simply 1,250 gallons of buried storage, we will confirm the fit and get it on a truck. See the technical drawing on this page for fitting locations and full dimensional detail.
