At this tank's 1.9 SG rating, the chart supports service with Ethylene Glycol (100%), Ferric Chloride (50%), Ferric Sulfate (60%), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, Viton gasket), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, Viton), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS fittings, Aflas gasket), Phosphoric Acid (85%, Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate (50%), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%), Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC fittings, Viton), Zinc Orthophosphate, and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM). Note that DEF, though low-SG, still calls for 316SS wetted metal per the chart, so the stock PP bulkhead is not a match for it. Match your fitting and gasket to the chart in every case: EPDM covers most salts and bases, while the strong oxidizers and acids above call for Viton or Aflas. The mistake to avoid
Do not spec the fittings to match the tank instead of the chemical. The tank body handles the list above, but the standard 3" PP bulkhead and its gasket do not. Sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid, and the peroxide and peracetic oxidizers require Viton or Aflas gaskets and PVC, CPVC, or 316SS fittings; DEF needs 316SS wetted metal. An EPDM gasket in that service fails long before the poly wall does.
