The Enduraplas 1600 Gallon White Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC01600KW) is a full-drain chemical storage tank molded from natural white polyethylene and rated to a 1.9 specific gravity. The cone-bottom geometry sits in an integrated stand so the entire contents gravity-drain through the 3" PP female NPT bulkhead outlet - no residual heel to pump out. Empty weight is 400 lb, overall height is 96", and the tank body measures 90" in diameter, giving a 90.0" diameter footprint you can lay out before delivery. A 16" threaded vented manway on top handles filling and inspection, and its venting also prevents pressure or vacuum buildup during fill and draw and during off-gassing service. The tank carries an FDA Approved rating.

Will it hold your chemical

The number that matters most on a chem tank is specific gravity. This tank is rated to 1.9 SG, which covers dense liquids up to roughly 1.9 times the weight of water. Filled with plain water at that rating the load is about 13,344 lb; at the full 1.9 rating the contents can weigh up to 25,354 lb. Size the pad, stand, and anchoring to the heaviest liquid you plan to store, not to water. 1.9 SG is the maximum rating offered for this tank - if your liquid exceeds 1.9 SG, this cone-bottom model cannot be safely used, so call 866-418-1777 for alternatives. If you are unsure how your volume and liquid weight pencil out, run the numbers with our Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide. This is a true 1600 gallon cone bottom tank on a poly stand; the exact drain-cone angle is shown on the technical drawing on this page. See our 1600 Gallon cone bottom buyer's guide and the stand selection decision tree for stand and mounting detail.

Chemical compatibility

This tank is polyethylene rated to 1.9 SG; the exact resin grade is not confirmed - verify HDLPE versus XLPE before committing it to chemical service. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific, so confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and the fitting and gasket materials before ordering. At the 1.9 SG rating this tank suits demanding services including sulfuric acid (98%, CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), hydrochloric acid (37%, PVC, Viton), phosphoric acid (85%, PVC, Viton), hydrofluoric acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), sodium hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), ferric chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), ferric sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), ethylene glycol (100%, PVC, EPDM), peracetic acid (30%, 316SS, Aflas), potassium hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM), and zinc orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM). These services use this tank's entire 1.9 rating with no safety margin, so verify chemical density, allow for temperature derate, and stand and anchor to the 25,354 lb maximum before ordering. Lower-SG liquids such as DEF and urea solution (each around 1.35 rating), acetic acid (60%), aluminum sulfate (50%), calcium chloride (40%), sodium carbonate (30%), and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM, PVC, EPDM) sit well within this tank's rating. Match the fitting and gasket material to your chemical - Viton, EPDM, and Aflas are not interchangeable. The tank ships with a 3" PP bulkhead outlet; several services above call for PVC, CPVC, or 316SS instead, so confirm PP suits your chemical or specify a matching bulkhead. See each chemical's page in our Chemical Compatibility Database for concentration and temperature detail.
