The mistake to avoid
An underground polyethylene tank is engineered for water and light-density liquids, not for chemical service and not for dry burial. The two ways people get this wrong: skipping the water-and-backfill balance during install, which lets soil load deform an empty shell, and setting it below grade without accounting for groundwater and buoyancy. Fill it with water as you backfill, anchor per Norwesco's burial instructions, and keep the 20" manhole and inlet detailing correct so that access stays serviceable.
