The Norwesco 1505 gallon light blue heavy duty vertical storage tank, part number 44261, is a rotomolded polyethylene tank 60 inches in diameter and 135 inches tall, weighing 340 lb empty. It is a tall, narrow tank: eleven feet three to the crown on a base exactly five feet across, which puts 1505 gallons where a wider tank would not go. The wall is Norwesco's heavy duty grade, rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity, which takes in water, every common liquid fertilizer and most of the chemical solutions polyethylene handles; 1505 gallons of water weighs 12552 lb, and at the full 1.9 rating the contents can reach 23848 lb. It comes with a 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the outlet and a 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. The resin is FDA compliant per Norwesco, Norwesco lists the tank as NSF 61, the service limit is 120 F, and Norwesco backs the heavy duty tank with a 5 year warranty. Light blue absorbs less of the sun's heat than black, which keeps the contents cooler on an exposed pad.

Where it goes and what it holds
This is the tank for a narrow slot with sky above it: beside a greenhouse wall, in the corner of a pump house, between two buildings, or in a fenced chemical yard where every square foot is spoken for. The heavy duty wall makes it a fertilizer or chemical feed tank rather than a plain water tank; liquids denser than water put more stress on the wall near the base, and the 1.9 rating is built for that. The height is the thing to plan around: the manway sits at the top of 135 inches, so filling, float valve service and cleaning need a ladder or a platform. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. Your valve, camlock or pump suction threads straight in. On a tank this tall the head at the outlet is higher than on a squat tank of the same volume, so support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own within a foot of the wall and put a flexible connector before the first rigid joint.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill from a hose, drop a float or a level sensor in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean. Leave the vent clear so air can move as the level changes.
- Extra ports. Only the one outlet comes installed. A recirculation return, a second draw or an overflow means extra bulkhead fittings; tell us when you order and we quote them with the tank.
