The mistake to avoid

The most common error on a large vertical is treating the 1.9 SG rating and the 120 F temperature ceiling as independent. They are not: elevated temperature reduces a poly tank's allowable specific gravity, so a hot fluid running near 120 F should not also be pushed toward the 1.9 SG limit - back off the density as your service temperature climbs. Verify your fluid's actual specific gravity against the 1.9 rating before you fill; water is 1.0, but many fertilizers, brines, and process chemicals run well above that. And because this unit ships without a fitting, the gasket - not the tank body - is usually the compatibility weak link: the FDA-approved poly shell is chemically broad, but you must supply a bulkhead fitting sized to the tank wall and match the gasket elastomer to your stored fluid.
