4995 Gallon Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

Almost twelve feet across, under seven and a half feet tall

At 89 inches tall it fits under a barn roof or a lean-to, the manway is reachable from a step, and there is no ladder work; at 142 inches across it needs nearly twelve feet of flat, continuous floor each way, which is the first thing to check. Openings, fittings and the pad

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a siphon tube. The tube reaches down inside the tank so the outlet draws from near the floor while the fitting sits higher in the wall, above the sediment line. A 3 inch valve, camlock or pump suction threads straight in; support the first length of pipe on its own.
2. Manway. A 22 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough for a mixer, a submersible pump with its hose, or a person for a proper clean-out. Leave the vent open.
3. The pad. Continuous, level contact across the whole 142 inch circle: a poured slab checked with an instrument across the full span, a steel deck plate, or a compacted and screeded bed with a retained edge. No rails, no pallet, no shim. Strap the tank before the first fill.
4. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F. Heavier liquids need the 1.9 rated heavy duty versions below.

The approach, the gate, the turning room and the set-down spot all have to take a twelve foot shell, so walk the route before you order.
