The shape is the reason it exists: at 51 inches tall it sits in a shallow hole, which is what a high water table and a shallow drain field invert demand across most of the state. It comes with two compartments, a 4 inch gasketed PVC tee assembly at the inlet and at the outlet, and a 20 inch gasketed manway over each compartment, so nothing else has to be bought before it goes in the ground. - The state. Florida only. Going anywhere else, call us for the model approved in your state.
- The permit. Capacity, compartments and accepted models are the county's call; get it in writing first.
- Inlet and outlet. Both 4 inch gasketed PVC tee assemblies, factory fitted. The 4 inch sewer line glues to them; the gaskets seal the wall and the tees keep scum off the outlet.
- The manways. Two 20 inch gasketed manways, one over each compartment, so both chambers can be pumped. Risers to grade are the installer's addition and depend on the burial depth.
- The hole. 126 inches long, 60 inches wide, and shallow. An empty plastic tank is light enough for groundwater to lift, so follow Norwesco's installation instructions for bedding, backfill and filling with water as the hole is filled.
