Snyder Industries 120 Gallon Sodium Hypochlorite (UV) Double Wall Tank

Where it goes

This is the small contained tank for a hypochlorite feed: a well house, a livestock water system, a small community system, a disinfection point on a wastewater line. The name is Snyder's; the information we hold gives no concentration limit, so tell us the strength you buy and we will confirm it is the right tank before you order. The opaque wall keeps light off the contents, which is the reason to choose this version over a natural white one. The 120 F limit means ambient storage; keep it away from heaters and out of direct afternoon sun through a window.

At 51 inches tall the lid is at waist to chest height, which makes refilling from carboys or a drum pump easy. The 34 inch body is close to the clear width of a standard door, so measure the opening. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Lid. A 14 inch threaded vented lid: fill point, vent and the way in for a suction wand or foot valve. Hypochlorite gives off gas as it ages, so keep the vent clear.
2. Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Most small feeds draw through the top; if you want a bottom outlet, tell us the size and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
3. The liquid. Give us the product and strength and check it in our chemical compatibility guide; tubing and gaskets have to suit it too.
4. The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank. Check it on a written schedule. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Marked Tree, Arkansas plant, 34 by 34 by 51 inches on a pallet at 100 lb. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 5700102N52, look over the outer wall and the lid threads, and note any damage before you sign. Fill it with water first to check the base and the lid, then drain and dry it before the hypochlorite goes in.
