The mistake to avoid

The most common and most expensive error on a 2500-gallon cone tank is matching the gasket to the resin instead of the chemical. The HDLPE shell at 1.9 SG handles the chemistries above, but the wrong elastomer at a fitting fails first - EPDM is correct for the salts, glycols, and DEF, but oxidizers and strong acids like sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and sulfuric acid require Viton (or CPVC/Aflas where noted), and a default EPDM seal will swell and leak. Watch the wetted metal too: DEF at 32.5% and peracetic acid both call for 316SS fittings rather than the PVC default, and DEF in particular wants stainless at the port to protect fluid purity. The second mistake is sizing the stand to the empty tank: at the full 1.9-SG rating the loaded weight is 39,615 lb, so your stand and foundation must be engineered to that number.
