Snyder's steel stand for its 15 gallon cone bottom tank
Part number 48900 is the Snyder Industries steel stand for its 15 gallon cone bottom tanks. A cone bottom tank has no flat base to sit on, so it needs a stand that cradles the cone and lifts the outlet high enough to get a valve, a container or a pump inlet under it. This one is a welded steel frame 48 inches long, 40 inches wide and 47 inches tall, weighing 75 lb. The tank size is the thing to match: Snyder pairs each cone bottom tank with its own stand, and this is the one for the 15 gallon tank. What to check before you buy
- The tank. Snyder's 15 gallon cone bottom tank. Our cone bottom tank and stand compatibility matrix lists which stand goes with which tank across the brands we carry.
- Steel or polyethylene. This is the steel frame. If the tank sits in a wash-down area or holds something that will corrode steel, read our steel frame versus polyethylene stand decision tree before you choose.
- The floor. A flat, level, continuous 48 by 40 inch area, with no drain, joint or slope under it. A stand on a floor that falls toward a drain sits on three feet instead of four.
- The height. The frame is 47 inches tall. That decides what fits under the cone outlet: a valve and a hose, a drum, a pump inlet or a mixing vessel. Measure that equipment before the order, not after.

Setting it up
Put the stand in its final position first and level it across both diagonals. Set the empty tank in it and turn the tank so the outlet points where the pipe or hose will run. Fit the outlet valve before the first fill, and fill with water the first time so any problem shows up with something harmless in the tank. Support the first length of pipe on its own so the cone outlet carries liquid, not the weight of a valve and a hose.
