Twelve inches of height is the number that sells the RV2W. Plenty of underfloor cavities and bench bases will not take a 15 or 16 inch tank; this one spreads its 35 gallons across a 37.5 x 19 inch footprint and stays at 12 inches, keeping the fresh water supply low in the chassis where the weight belongs anyway.
Ronco's sheet lists it as the 2W L.D. - light-duty potable, molded in natural FDA-compliant polyethylene with the translucent wall that lets you eyeball your remaining water. At 8.34 lb per gallon, a full load is roughly 292 lb, so this tank noticeably steadies a coach when it rides low and centered.
Its two 35-gallon siblings trade footprint for height: the RV1W is 19.5 inches wide and 15 inches tall, and the RV34W stacks up to 16 inches on a 33.5 x 19 inch base. A step longer and lower still is the 36-gallon RV38W at 45 x 18.5 x 11.25 inches. Compare the whole line at RV water tanks.

Want to place the fittings yourself? Choose the blank tank: it ships with no fittings at no charge. Add the 90-2218 fitting kit ($55.75). It includes an access plate with six stainless steel screws, washers and nuts to mount it, a 1-1/2" NPT plug, two 1/2" NPT plugs, two 5/8" thru-hull fittings for supply and vent, and one 1-1/2" thru-hull fitting for fill.
