Ronco Plastics RV38W - 36 Gallon Plastic RV Water Tank (45.0" x 18.5" x 11.25")

Under the floor of most travel trailers is a shallow zone about a foot deep, and the RV38W was drawn for exactly that: 36 gallons of fresh water at 45 x 18.5 inches and only 11.25 inches of height. It is the compromise shape between Ronco's long-narrow RV6W and boxy RV7W - enough length to lie along a frame rail, enough width to keep the height down.

Ronco lists it as the 38W L.D. - the light-duty potable spec, molded in natural FDA-compliant polyethylene. The translucent wall is worth more than it sounds: water level reads through the side with a flashlight, no sender required to know where you stand.

Loaded, plan for roughly 300 lb of water (36 gallons at 8.34 lb each) on a shell that ships heavier than most in its class - a solidly built molding for its size. The direct alternatives are the RV6W at 48.38 x 14.38 x 13.25 inches and the RV7W at 30 x 22 x 14 inches, with the 40-gallon RV17W at 40.5 x 24 x 10 inches if you can use more capacity at even less height.
