Somewhere between a featherweight shell and a tank built like a bridge sits the RV46W: 77 lb of natural polyethylene holding 45 gallons of fresh water. Ronco's sheet carries it as the 46W L.D. - the light-duty potable spec, FDA-compliant resin, translucent wall - one of five distinct 45-gallon moldings the Tustin, California shop has accumulated since it started cutting tooling in 1974.
Forty-five gallons is enough fresh water to make weight planning mandatory: roughly 375 lb when topped off, at 8.34 lb per gallon. That much ballast is an asset when it rides low and strapped over structure, and a problem anywhere else - so print the drawing below and plan the mounting before the tank is on your doorstep.
Use the same printout to mark your fitting locations; Ronco spin-welds or threads fill, vent, outlet, and sender per order, exactly at the marks. If the RV46W outline misses your cavity, the bench offers the RV47W at 36 x 23 x 13 inches, the light RV58W, the heavy RV51W, and the RV5W - all indexed at RV water tanks.
