The Enduraplas 150 Gallon Green Horizontal Sump Bottom Leg Tank ships ready to mount on its molded frame, with the sump bottom pulling contents toward a low drain point so you can empty the tank cleanly between batches. Built in polyethylene and rated to a 1.9 specific gravity, this 150 gallon horizontal leg tank is sized for heavy liquids and rough field work where a flat-bottom tank would not hold up. It measures 34 inches high, 41 inches wide and 46 inches long, giving it a 41.0 x 46.0 inch footprint that sits low and stable on a trailer, skid or truck bed.

Will it work for your job

Plan around weight before you mount it. Filled with water this tank carries roughly 1,251 lbs, and at its full 1.9 specific gravity rating it can hold up to 2,377 lbs of contents. That spread matters: a frame, trailer or deck that handles a water load will be badly under-built for a dense fertilizer blend or acid at the top of the rating. Confirm your mounting structure and tie-downs against the 2,377 lb figure, not the water number. The low-profile horizontal geometry keeps the center of gravity down, which is why this style is favored for transport and applicator duty over a tall vertical tank. See the technical drawing on this page for overall dimensions before you build a deck or trailer around it.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank with a 1.9 specific gravity rating. The pack marks the exact resin as unconfirmed, so before any chemical service confirm whether this is high-density linear polyethylene (HDLPE) or crosslinked (XLPE) - the two resins resist some chemistries differently, and a high SG rating does not by itself settle the question. Compatibility, fitting and gasket selections are concentration- and temperature-specific, so always check the OEM chemical-resistance chart for your exact concentration and operating temperature.

Within the 1.9 SG rating, this tank suits a broad range of chemistries when paired with the correct fitting and gasket materials. Note the groupings: most run PVC or PP/PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets, but strong acids and oxidizers move to Viton, and DEF and peracetic acid call for 316 stainless.

The mistake to avoid

The most common error on a high-SG leg tank like this is treating the 1.9 rating as a free pass. The rating is a structural ceiling for the tank wall - it is not a chemical-compatibility clearance. A chemical can fall well inside the 1.9 SG ceiling and still attack the wrong gasket or fitting, and an unconfirmed resin can shorten service life on aggressive chemistries. Verify three things together: specific gravity under 1.9, resin type, and the correct fitting and gasket material from the OEM chart.
