Norwesco 135 Gallon Horizontal Elliptical Leg Tank in White

In a pickup, on a UTV or on a small sprayer frame

At 56 by 36 inches the tank sits across a full size pickup bed between the wheel wells, and at 26 inches tall it stays under most bed rails, so a tonneau or a cap can close over it. Full of water it is close to 1126 lb, which a half ton truck carries and most UTVs do not; check the vehicle's payload against the full weight, not the empty one. Strap it through the moulded leg recesses in every direction the vehicle can move, never over the lid, because a full tank that shifts under braking carries a lot of momentum. What goes in it

Spray mix, water for stock or a garden, liquid fertilizer and the common farm chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride and magnesium chloride are the ones small leg tank buyers ask about most. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water are outside this tank's rating. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 1-1/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a siphon tube, factory installed. The siphon tube reaches to the low point inside the tank so a pump draws the tank down to nearly empty instead of losing suction with liquid still in the bottom, which matters on a sprayer. A 1-1/4 inch valve, hose barb or pump suction adapter threads into the outside. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top, wide enough for a fill hose or to pour in a jug of concentrate. The vent lets the tank breathe as it fills and drains; never plug it.
