The Enduraplas 1600 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC01600KG) is built for full-drain chemical batching and storage where you need every gallon to empty through the bottom. The polyethylene tank holds 1600 gallons, stands 96 inches tall on its poly stand with a 90-inch diameter footprint, and carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating - the rating that qualifies this tank for aggressive chemistries a standard 1.5 SG cone tank cannot legally hold. It ships with a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead outlet at the cone tip and a 16" threaded vented manway up top, and the empty shell weighs 400 lb.

Will it work for your job

Size it by weight, not just gallons. Filled with water this tank carries 13,344 lb; at its maximum 1.9 SG rating the contents can reach 25,354 lb, so your pad, anchoring, and forklift or crane plan need to be built around the loaded figure, not the 400 lb empty tank. The included poly stand lifts the 3" bulkhead outlet high enough to gravity-drain into totes or a transfer pump. Chemical compatibility

This is a 1.9 SG-rated polyethylene tank, and the 1.9 rating is the whole reason to buy it: Ferric Chloride 50%, Sulfuric Acid 98%, Phosphoric Acid 85%, Peracetic Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide 50%, and Sodium Hypochlorite all require that 1.9 density rating - a standard 1.5 SG cone tank is disqualified for them. One caveat first: our compatibility data has the resin as HDLPE but not yet confirmed against XLPE, and for chemistry this aggressive that distinction is decisive. Confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before you charge the tank. Lighter-density chemistries clear at a lower rating but are still compatible here: Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM) - most on PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets - plus lower-density DEF (32.5%, 316SS, EPDM) and Urea Solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM).

The costly mistake on a cone-bottom this size is the fitting, not the tank. The outlet ships as a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead, and several of the services above need something other than that stock PP-and-EPDM hardware: Sulfuric Acid 98% requires CPVC with Viton, Peracetic Acid requires 316SS with Aflas, DEF requires 316SS, and Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Phosphoric Acid all require Viton rather than EPDM. Re-spec the bulkhead and gasket for your fluid before you order - one wrong elastomer at the outlet can fail the whole install.
