The Enduraplas 2000 Gallon Black Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC02000KB) is built for full-drain chemical batching, dosing, and mixing where you need every gallon out the bottom. The tank body carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, so it is engineered to hold heavier-than-water chemistries up to that density. It stands 113" tall on a 90" diameter footprint, weighs 500 lb empty, and comes fitted with a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead outlet at the cone tip plus a 16" threaded vented manway up top for filling, inspection, and gauging. This is FDA-approved black polyethylene, and the black wall helps limit light transmission for chemistries that degrade with UV exposure.

Will it hold your chemical - and drain clean

The cone-bottom geometry and stand exist for one reason: complete gravity drainage of solids-bearing or settling chemistries through the 3" bulkhead, no dead heel left in a flat floor. Match your fill rate to the 16" vented manway and keep the vent clear so you never pull a vacuum on drawdown. Because dosing systems live or die on the right specific gravity, use the pack SG rating as your hard ceiling and confirm your chemical's density before you order. For sizing the stand and the pad beneath it, walk the steel frame vs polyethylene stand decision tree and the cone bottom stand compatibility matrix, and run your batch volume through the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide.

Weight your stand and pad must carry

Full of water, this tank and its contents weigh 16,680 lb. At the tank's maximum 1.9 SG rating, rated contents reach 31,692 lb - nearly double the water figure. That number, not the water weight, sizes the stand legs, the anchor design, and the concrete under all 90 inches of that footprint. Undersizing the pad for a heavy chemistry is the single most expensive mistake on a cone tank install. See the technical drawing on this page for the stand and outlet layout.

Chemical compatibility

The resin on this specific tank is not yet confirmed on our data sheet - HDLPE vs XLPE - so confirm it with us before committing to chemical service, because the two resins do not share the same chemical envelope. The tank rates to 1.9 SG, which is the top of the Snyder chart's rating band. All ratings below come from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and are concentration- and temperature-specific; confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and both fitting and gasket materials before ordering. Compatibility ratings assume ambient temperature, and we have no elevated-temp rating on file for this tank - confirm your operating temperature with us, especially for concentrated acids.

At this tank's 1.9 SG rating, the following are cleared per the chart: Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC/EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC/EPDM), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC fittings, Viton gaskets), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS fittings, Aflas gaskets), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC, Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride (PVC/EPDM), Potassium Carbonate (50%, PVC/EPDM), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC/EPDM), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfate (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%, PVC/EPDM), Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), and Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM). Each of these requires exactly 1.9 SG, meaning zero SG headroom - verify density at your maximum operating concentration and temperature, not at nominal. Lower-density chemistries the chart also clears include Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), DEF (32.5%, 316SS/EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), and Urea Solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM); Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM, PVC/EPDM) is also cleared, page pending. Note the fitting and gasket material called out for each: the tank wall clearing a chemical does not mean the stock bulkhead gasket will. Several of these services - hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, hydrogen peroxide, phosphoric, sodium hypochlorite, and sulfuric - require a Viton gasket, and peracetic acid requires Aflas, so the stock bulkhead gasket must be upgraded before use. Call to spec the correct gasket and fitting material with your order. Full details live in our Chemical Compatibility Database.
