The Enduraplas 3500 Gallon White Horizontal Leg Tank is a saddle-mounted transport and nurse tank built for moving water, fertilizer, and a wide range of process chemicals across the farm or job site. Molded in natural white polyethylene with a 1.9 specific-gravity rating, it carries the heaviest liquids most operations run, and the white wall lets you eyeball the fluid level at a glance. The tank measures 70 inches high, 95 inches wide, and 179 inches long, riding on integrated legs that seat the load low on a trailer or skid for stable hauling. At a 1.9 SG rating this is already the top-rated resin for this tank line - there is no heavier-duty version to step up to, so the only variable left to nail down is matching your fittings and gaskets to your chemistry.

Does it work for your load?

This is a horizontal leg tank, so the elongated 95 x 179 inch footprint and the molded saddle legs are doing the work of keeping a long column of liquid balanced while you move. The 1.9 SG rating is the number to plan around: filled with water, the contents weigh about 29,190 pounds, and at the full 1.9 rating the tank is engineered to carry up to roughly 55,461 pounds of contents. Confirm your trailer, hitch, and axle ratings handle that loaded weight before you fill, and match your pump and plumbing to the long horizontal run. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide to confirm 3500 gallons is the right capacity for your operation. For an outline of every fitting and the exact leg geometry, see the technical drawing on this page.

Chemical compatibility

Before anything else: this tank is shown as high-density linear polyethylene (HDLPE) with a question mark on the resin grade, so confirm HDLPE versus crosslinked (XLPE) with us at 866-418-1777 before you commit it to chemical service - the two resins behave differently with aggressive chemistries, and that one open variable governs your whole decision. With the resin confirmed and the right fittings and gaskets, the 1.9 rating opens this tank to a broad chemical range. Aluminum sulfate (50%), calcium chloride (40%), ethylene glycol (100%), ferric chloride (50%), ferric sulfate (60%), ferrous sulfate (20%), magnesium chloride (30%), potassium carbonate (50%), potassium hydroxide (saturated), sodium carbonate (30%), and sodium thiosulfate (40%) all run with PVC fittings and EPDM gaskets. Acetic acid (60%) and urea solution (50%) run with PP or PVC fittings and EPDM gaskets. DEF (32.5%) requires 316 stainless fittings with EPDM gaskets - that exact spec, with the natural-white poly wall, is what makes this a workable diesel exhaust fluid hauler, since DEF is purity-sensitive and the wrong fitting contaminates it (ISO 22241). The acids - hydrochloric (37%), hydrofluoric (48%), hydrofluosilicic (26%), phosphoric (85%), and hydrogen peroxide (50%) - need Viton gaskets, with PVC or PP/PVC fittings depending on the chemical. Sulfuric acid (98%) requires CPVC fittings with Viton, and sodium hypochlorite below 16.5% pairs PVC with Viton. Peracetic acid (30%) is the most demanding here, requiring 316SS fittings and Aflas gaskets. Polyaluminum chloride, propylene glycol, sodium bisulfate, sodium bisulfite, zinc orthophosphate, and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM) are also listed compatible - see each chemical's page and the full chemical compatibility reference. Every one of these calls is concentration- and temperature-specific per the OEM chemical-resistance chart, so verify your exact concentration, service temperature, fitting material, and gasket material against the chart before ordering. Note that fittings and gaskets are specified and sold separately from the tank - call for the right package for your chemistry.

The mistake to avoid

The error that bites operators on a leg tank this size is loading by gallons instead of by weight. At 1.9 SG you can legally fill 3500 gallons of a dense fertilizer blend and put more than 55,000 pounds of contents on a trailer that was never rated for it - the tank is fine, the running gear is not. Always size the trailer and axles to the SG of what you are actually hauling, not to water. The other miss is plumbing the wrong fitting and gasket for the chemical, which is how a tank that is fully compatible still develops a weep at the bulkhead.
