The Enduraplas 7011 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC07011KG) is a full-drain polyethylene vessel built for process, batching, and chemical storage where you need the tank to empty completely. It stands 150" tall on a 144" diameter footprint, weighs 1,600 lb empty, and carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating. Its resin is FDA approved. It arrives with a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead fitting at the cone tip and a 16" threaded vented manway up top, so gravity discharge and venting are handled out of the box.

Will it work for your job

Size to the weight, not just the gallons. Filled with water, this tank holds roughly 58,472 lb of contents; loaded to its full 1.9 SG rating it can carry up to 111,096 lb. That is a serious floor load on the stand legs and the pad beneath them, so confirm your slab and stand rating before you fill. Because this is a cone bottom on a stand, the entire volume drains to the 3" outlet with no dead heel. Run the numbers through the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide, and if you are still choosing between a steel frame and a poly stand, the stand selection decision tree and the Norwesco/Snyder/Enduraplas stand compatibility matrix walk through the tradeoffs. See the technical drawing on this page for the manway, outlet, and leg layout.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank rated to 1.9 specific gravity. Its resin reads as HDLPE with an open question, so confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before you commit it to chemical service; that question is separate from the FDA-approved status noted above. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific: always confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and the fitting plus gasket materials before ordering.

At this tank's 1.9 SG rating, it can handle heavier and more aggressive media including Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC, Viton), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC, Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC, EPDM), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM), and Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS fittings, Aflas gaskets). Lighter-SG-rated media the resin also accepts include Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), and DEF (32.5%, 316SS fittings) or Urea Solution (50%). Match the fitting and gasket to your chemical exactly, and cross-check the full Chemical Compatibility Database before finalizing.

The mistake to avoid

Do not assume the stock fitting and one gasket cover everything. The outlet ships as a 3" PP bulkhead, and both material and gasket change by chemical: EPDM for the glycols and salts, Viton for the acids and hypochlorite, Aflas for peracetic acid. Sulfuric Acid at 98% is the only entry in this set that needs CPVC rather than PVC, and DEF and Peracetic Acid are the only two that call for 316SS fittings, meaning the stock PP bulkhead has to be swapped for metal on those two services. A default gasket on a Viton-required acid line is the fastest way to a leak, so specify the fitting and gasket to the media, not to the tank. One more honest limiter: with 58,472 lb of water draining through a single 3" outlet, plan on a measured gravity drain rate rather than an instant dump.
