The Enduraplas 8000 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC08000KG) is a full-drain vessel built for chemical batching, storage, and metering where you need every gallon to evacuate through the bottom. It stands 166" tall on a 144" diameter footprint, molded in green polyethylene rated to a 1.9 specific gravity, with an empty weight of 2,100 lb. It ships pre-set on its matching stand, discharges through a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead fitting, and is accessed through a 16" threaded vented manway up top. FDA-approved material and the 1.9 SG rating make it a serious candidate for heavy chemical service, not just water.
Will it handle your fluid
The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters, and it is the maximum rating in this line — no heavier-rated vessel is required for any chemical listed below. Filled with plain water this tank carries roughly 66,720 lb; loaded to its maximum rated contents it is engineered to hold up to 126,768 lb, which is what lets it store fluids far denser than water. The cone bottom on its stand routes contents down to the 3" bulkhead outlet so you are not fighting a heel at the bottom of a flat-floor tank (see the technical drawing on this page for the outlet detail and confirm the cone geometry to your pad). Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide to check the 8000 gallon working volume and loaded weight against your pad and secondary containment before you order.
Chemical compatibility
This tank is molded polyethylene rated to 1.9 specific gravity, and the resin is unconfirmed — HDLPE versus XLPE. That distinction materially changes chemical resistance, so confirm it with us before any chemical service, then verify your exact chemical, concentration, and temperature against the Snyder Industries OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is concentration- and temperature-specific. Because this tank carries the full 1.9 SG rating, it covers the demanding, heavier-than-water chemistries below:
- Ethylene glycol (100%) — PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets — details
- Ferric chloride (50%) — PVC, EPDM — details
- Ferric sulfate (60%) — PVC, EPDM — details
- Hydrochloric acid (37%) — PVC fittings, Viton gaskets — details
- Hydrofluoric acid (48%) — PP/PVC, Viton — details
- Hydrofluosilicic acid (26%) — PP/PVC, Viton — details
- Hydrogen peroxide (50%) — PVC, Viton — details
- Peracetic acid (30%) — 316SS fittings, Aflas gaskets — details
- Phosphoric acid (85%) — PVC, Viton — details
- Sulfuric acid (98%) — CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets — details
- Sodium hypochlorite (<16.5%) — PVC, Viton — details
- Potassium carbonate (50%) — PVC, EPDM — details
- Potassium hydroxide (saturated) — PVC, EPDM — details
- Sodium thiosulfate (40%) — PVC, EPDM — details
- Polyaluminum chloride — PVC, EPDM — details
- Sodium bisulfate — PVC/PP, EPDM — details
- Sodium bisulfite — PVC/PP, EPDM — details
- Propylene glycol — PP/316SS, EPDM — details
- Zinc orthophosphate — PP/316SS, EPDM — details
Lighter-service fluids that only need a 1.35–1.5 SG tank are compatible here as well: acetic acid (60%, PP/PVC, EPDM), aluminum sulfate (50%, PVC, EPDM), calcium chloride (40%, PVC, EPDM), DEF (32.5%, 316SS, EPDM), urea solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM), magnesium chloride (30%, PVC, EPDM), ferrous sulfate (20%, PVC, EPDM), sodium carbonate (30%, PVC, EPDM), and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM, PVC, EPDM). Browse each entry in the Chemical Compatibility Database.
The mistake to avoid
Spec the outlet and gasket to your fluid, not to what ships standard. The included 3" PP bulkhead suits many salts and glycols, but oxidizers and strong acids in the list require a PVC, CPVC, or 316SS outlet paired with a Viton or Aflas gasket — sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid all call for Viton, not the EPDM that suits the salts and glycols. Get the fitting-and-gasket pairing wrong and you leak at the connection, not the tank wall.
