A heavy wall for dense liquids

This shell stands 177 inches tall on a 120 inch base. Measure the clearance where it will stand, then add the fill pipe and vent above the manway; that total, not the tank height alone, is the number to check against a canopy, an eave or a power line. The 1.9 rating is the reason to pick this part number over the standard black one in the same shell, which we also list: dense fertilizer solutions, brines and heavier treatment chemicals need it, water does not. Plan the pad for the real load. Full of a 1.9 liquid, up to 125,183 lb bears on the 120 inch circle, so pour a level slab in full contact with the base, following our concrete pad sizing guide, and put it inside containment where the liquid is regulated. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Confirm the specific gravity is 1.9 or less and the service temperature stays at or below 120 F. Check the chemistry against polyethylene in our chemical compatibility guide, and call us for anything not listed.
2. The outlet. Only the manway is listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size and we will confirm a bottom fitting, its size and its material before anything is drilled. Take the weight of valves and pipe off the fitting with a separate support and a flexible connector.
3. Access. The 18 inch threaded vented manway is 177 inches up. Plan a fixed ladder and a rail, and run the vent where any fumes can go safely.
