The 1007300 family also carries the black 1007300C34 for a liquid that light spoils and the cross-linked 1007300N42 by its name, each rated as its own sheet says; when the black wall or the cross-linked resin is the requirement, the taller shell is where it lives. An 8 inch lid on a four foot tank

• Vent and fill: the 8 inch lid is the fill opening and the vent. A 130 gallon tank fills from a drum pump, a tote or a hose, and the lid opening passes the air a fill at that rate displaces; on draw-down the lid must breathe or the pump pulls a vacuum, so it sits loose enough to pass air and tight enough to keep dust and rain out. Put the hose end below the rim so a dense liquid does not fall four feet and beat the headspace band.
• Headspace: stop at the shoulder. The band above the liquid line is the one vapor works on; through a natural wall it can be seen from outside, and it gets a look every time the lid comes off.
• Outlet: 1 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base. Name the liquid at order and the fitting, gasket and bolting are matched to it, with a flexible connector to hard pipe and the valve supported on the stand.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

Four feet of head over a 1 inch outlet gravity-feeds a metering pump or a transfer line; set the pump inlet below the outlet so it runs flooded to the last inch, and fit a low-level float so it never pumps air. A rigid line bolted straight to the bulkhead puts every bit of pipe movement into the wall, so the connector is flexible and the valve sits on the stand. Keep the lid on, the chemical's name on the wall, and the strap tight. A tank this size freezes through in a cold night outdoors, so it lives indoors, or the valve and line are traced and the tank is drained before a hard cold.
