Chemical compatibility

This tank is molded from polyethylene rated at 1.9 specific gravity. The resin is recorded as HDLPE in our data but is not yet confirmed - verify the exact resin (linear versus crosslinked polyethylene) with the manufacturer before putting any chemical into service, because crosslinked and linear polyethylene can behave differently with aggressive media. Compatibility, fitting material, and gasket selection are concentration- and temperature-specific; always confirm against the OEM chemical-resistance chart for your exact concentration and operating temperature. Watch two fitting-material traps in particular: DEF (32.5%) calls for 316SS fittings, not the PVC most buyers default to, and 98% Sulfuric Acid needs CPVC rather than standard PVC. A common mistake to avoid

The single most expensive error on a high-SG cone tank is treating the water weight as the design load. At 1.9 SG this tank can carry 25,354 lb of contents - nearly double the 13,344 lb water figure - so a stand or pad sized for water will be dangerously under-built. Equally, do not assume the 1.9 SG rating clears every chemical; the rating addresses the density the tank wall can support, while resin and gasket chemistry decide actual compatibility.
