The Snyder Industries 300 Gallon ASTM Black Heavy Duty Vertical Storage Tank is a 300-gallon polyethylene vertical storage tank built to a 1.9 specific-gravity rating and Snyder's ASTM heavy-duty spec, which is where the "heavy duty" designation earns its keep. It stands 80 inches tall on a compact 35-by-35-inch footprint, so it holds real volume without sprawling across your slab. The black resin blocks light to discourage algae growth in stored water, making it a durable choice for bulk water, rainwater capture, and general vertical storage duty.
Will it work for your site?
Start with the numbers before you commit a pad. Filled with water, this tank carries roughly 2,502 pounds; loaded to its full 1.9 SG rating, contents can reach about 4,754 pounds. Size your foundation to the heavier figure if you ever plan to store anything denser than water, and keep the base fully supported and level across the entire 35-by-35-inch footprint. When you store to a high specific gravity, freeboard and thermal expansion matter — Snyder's freeboard sizing doctrine walks through the real usable volume. If you are working out whether 300 gallons is the right band for your draw-down and refill cycle, the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide will size it for you.
Fittings and access
The tank is configured with a flange outlet and an 18-inch polyethylene threaded, vented lid up top. That vent is functional, not incidental — it lets air move as the tank fills and draws down, preventing the vacuum that can collapse a sealed vertical tank on a hard pump-out. The flange outlet lands on a molded flat pad and needs a proper gasket and seal at install, so confirm the flange size and elevation on the technical drawing before you order mating hardware. A manway with a 15-inch access opening gives you room for interior inspection and cleaning, and 6.5-by-6.5-inch flat fitting pads molded into the wall provide clean, reinforced landing spots for additional fittings. Gallonage marks may be removed where a fitting needs to be placed. See the technical drawing on this page for exact fitting locations before you plumb the tank in.
How it ships
This is a large vertical tank, so it moves by LTL freight rather than parcel. It ships from the Snyder plant in Marked Tree, Arkansas, and freight is quoted live to your ZIP code — enter your delivery address in the Freight Cost Estimator for a real number, or call us at 866-418-1777 and we will quote it by phone. If this tank is headed for a rural fire-water reservoir or a water-reuse train, our guides on fire-water reservoir design and industrial water-reuse tank topology are worth a read, along with our concrete pad sizing framework. Listed at list price, before freight.
