Where it goes

Most chemical rooms run out of floor long before they run out of air, and this tank exists for them: it takes the same curb and the same pad as the low 330 and gets the volume by standing up. A 47 inch circle drops inside a four foot containment curb with room for a boot and a mop. What it costs is reach: at 68 inches the manway is above head height for most people, so plan a fixed step and a permanent fill connection at the rim, and leave ceiling room above the manway for the vent and fill line. What goes in it

Dark storage for a liquid that polyethylene handles at room temperature: fertilizer and feed solution, brine, wash water and makeup, and reclaimed or harvested water on a site that wants nothing growing in it. Check any chemical in the chemical compatibility guide before you order; a warm liquid or a chemistry that asks for a crosslinked wall belongs in the crosslinked version of this shell.

Openings and fittings

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway at 68 inches, overhead work for most people, so a fixed step and a rail or a tied-off platform ladder, and a permanent fill connection landed at the rim so nobody wrestles a hose above his head. Fill through a dip tube to the floor; nearly six feet of free fall aerates a liquid and coats the headspace.
2. Outlet. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off arrangement you want when you order and we will confirm what this tank accepts at the base and in what material before anything is drilled. A tall column puts more static pressure on a base fitting than a flat shell does, so the first valve sits on its own support with a flexible connector to hard pipe.
