Where it goes

Head is everything on a gravity feed. Measure the height of the outlet above the point of use before the pad is poured, because a tank set low or on a soft, settling base is a tank that works slowly and then stops working well. The 52.3 by 65 inch footprint wants flat, continuous, level support across the whole base, not two bearers with the middle spanning air; 3,002 lb of water stands on it once it is full, and a gravity system cares about level in a way a pumped one does not, so take the time to get it right rather than shimming a corner. Openings and fittings

1. Lid. An 18 inch lid on top, above head height for most people standing beside the tank, so give whoever fills it somewhere safe to stand. Keep the hose end below the rim and the lid closed between fills. The lid is not described as vented; anything drawing the tank down needs an air path, so settle the venting with the order.

The system ships LTL from Snyder's plant in Marked Tree, Arkansas, 53 by 66 by 84 inches on the pallet at 280 lb: an ordinary freight booking with a forklift or a pallet jack at the far end. The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the cost to your ZIP. Lift from under the base, never by the lid, and check the door height and the canopy clearance with the pallet still under it. At the tailgate, check the part number against 5760100N97208 on the bill of lading and look over the lid and the base for transit damage. Set it on the finished pad, level it properly, fill it with water and hold the 3,002 lb load while you read the base, the opening and the pad, then drain and dry it before the working liquid goes in. Write the outlet height above the point of use on the site plan the day it is set; that one measurement explains every flow question anyone asks afterwards.
