Height instead of floor

This tank takes a 23 inch circle of floor, about what a drum needs, and makes up the volume in height. At 46 inches tall it stands against a wall in a pump house, in the corner of a utility room, beside a well head or between posts in a barn, where a wider tank would block a walkway. Typical jobs: a water reserve for a small pump system, drinking water for a coop or a kennel, a rinse water tank, or a liquid fertilizer or brine supply. High density polyethylene suits water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals, and the 1.9 rating covers dense liquids that would overload a lighter tank. Tall and narrow has one catch: it tips more easily than a squat tank, especially empty at 28 lb. Strap it to the wall or a post before the first fill. You cannot see the level through black, so fit a float gauge or a sight tube, or keep a marked dip stick beside it.
