Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 1-1/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. Thread a 1-1/4 inch valve straight in. Dry-fit it so the handle clears the wall, seal the threads, and support the first length of pipe on its own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware. - Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid. Wide enough for a hose, a float switch or a small pump inlet; the vent lets air in as the tank drains so the walls are never pulled inward.
