Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 1-1/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. Thread a 1-1/4 inch valve straight in. Dry-fit it so the handle clears the wall, seal the threads, and support the first length of pipe on its own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Lid. An 8 inch lid on top. Wide enough for a hose, a float switch or a small pump inlet. Never pump out of a polyethylene tank with the top sealed; air has to get in as the level falls.
