What it is for
Forty gallons is a working batch: a concentrate cut to strength for a sprayer, a soluble product taken into solution for a feed line, a cleaning or treatment solution made at the start of a shift and drawn down through the day. The cone sends the last of the batch to the outlet instead of leaving it in a flat bottom, and the 16 inch manway makes loading and cleaning a one person job. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals are the normal loads. Openings, fittings and what to check before you buy
- Outlet. A 2 inch threaded outlet at the point of the cone. Tell us what valve or adapter you are putting on it and we will confirm the thread it mates to before the order ships. Fit the valve before the first fill and support it so the outlet carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. Wide enough for a bag of powder, a mixer shaft and a cleaning brush.
