Where a 35 gallon inductor tank earns its place
This is the size for an operation that makes up a solution every day and does not want a drum doing the job. A concentrate goes in through the lid, water follows, the batch is stirred or recirculated, and the finished mix is drawn off the bottom into the sprayer, the feed line or the container it is going to. The cone means the last of the batch leaves the tank instead of staying behind, which is the difference between an inductor tank and a flat bottom drum when you change products often. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals are the normal loads. Openings, fittings and what to check before you buy
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. A ball valve threads straight in. Put the valve on before the first fill and support the valve and the hose on their own so the fitting is not carrying the weight.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid. That is a pouring and inspection opening, not a manway you can get an arm through. If you need to drop a mixer or a bag of powder in, look at the manway versions in this family.
- The stand. Norwesco pairs this tank with stand N-65517. A 45 degree cone needs a 45 degree cradle; confirm the stand part number with us if you are reusing a stand you already own.
