Several common process chemicals exceed what a 1.5 SG tank should hold and require a 1.9 specific-gravity tank instead. Do not run these in this model: Ethylene Glycol, Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulfate, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrofluosilicic Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Peracetic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Thiosulfate, Sulfuric Acid, and Zinc Orthophosphate. These also shift the gasket spec: oxidizers and strong acids such as sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and hydrogen peroxide call for Viton, and peracetic acid for Aflas, rather than the EPDM the 1.5-compatible chemicals use. For any of these, step up to a 1.9 SG cone-bottom inductor tank in the same family rather than forcing them into this one.
