Fittings and connections
The tank is configured with three flat fitting pads sized 15 x 15 inches, 13 x 15 inches, and 14 x 25-3/4 inches. The largest pad, the 14 x 25-3/4 inch surface, is the natural home for a strainer-basket inlet or an access hatch, while the 15 x 15 and 13 x 15 pads give you reinforced, flat surfaces for accessory mounting. It also includes a 4-inch outlet and overflow kit and a 1-inch bulkhead reinforcing fitting with a polypropylene body and EPDM gasket. EPDM is well suited to rainwater and water-grade service, which keeps this configuration squarely water-duty. Confirm each penetration against the technical drawing before you finalize your inlet, outlet, and overflow runs, especially the 4-inch overflow path, which has to keep up with peak roof flow during heavy rain events.
The mistake to avoid

First, underbuilding the foundation: at 41,700 pounds full, point loading on an uneven or undersized pad cracks the base and voids the geometry the drawing assumes, so build a level, properly sized concrete pad first.
