A 4995 gallon low profile black water tank that stays under eight feet
The Norwesco 4995 gallon vertical water storage tank, part number 44247, is a black polyethylene tank 142 inches in diameter and 89 inches tall, weighing 775 lb empty. Where a low five thousand goes
Buyers choose the 142 inch tank over the taller five thousand gallon shapes for one of three reasons: a roof or an eave in the way, a view they want to keep, or a wind exposure where a low tank is simply easier to live with. The manway on this tank is at 89 inches, reachable from a short ladder, which also makes annual inspection and cleaning less of a job. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. For a fire draft connection or a fast fill of a water truck, a 2 inch outlet is on the slow side; tell us the flow you need and we will talk through the options before the tank ships.
- Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line from a well pump or a roof drain system.
- Manway. A 22 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough for a person to look in and work through, and the tank's vent.
- Rating. 1.1 specific gravity, a maximum of 9.18 lb per gallon. Water. Liquid fertilizers are heavier and need a tank rated 1.5 or higher. Keep contents under 120 F.

It ships as an oversize shipment on a flatbed at freight class OVS, 758 lb, from Norwesco's Fairfield, Texas plant, and the carrier will want a site a flatbed can reach and turn in.
