Confirm the load path holds the rated weight and that the cone bottom is fully supported by a stand or cradle, since cone-bottom tanks are not self-supporting and rest in a structural frame. Chemical compatibility

Resin grade is shown as HDLPE but flagged unconfirmed in our data, so call 866-418-1777 to verify HDLPE versus XLPE before chemical service - the two resins differ in chemical resistance, and the SG rating on this unit is 1.5. Always verify against the OEM chemical-resistance chart for your exact concentration and temperature, since compatibility is concentration- and temperature-specific. This tank ships without fittings; the PVC, PP, and 316 stainless fittings and EPDM, Viton, or Aflas gaskets referenced below are specified separately to match your chemical.

Within the 1.5 SG rating, this tank is compatible with the following at the listed concentrations: Acetic Acid at 60%, Aluminum Sulfate at 50%, Calcium Chloride at 40%, DEF at 32.5%, Ferrous Sulfate at 20%, Magnesium Chloride at 30%, Sodium Carbonate at 30%, Urea Solution at 50%, and Ozonated Water up to 10 PPM. Most of these call for PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets; Acetic Acid and Urea Solution work with PP or PVC fittings on EPDM. Only DEF among the compatible chemicals requires 316 stainless fittings - all others run PVC or PP. Several chemicals you may be considering are too dense for this 1.5 SG tank and need a higher 1.9 SG vessel instead: Ethylene Glycol, Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulfate, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrofluosilicic Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Peracetic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Thiosulfate, Sulfuric Acid, and Zinc Orthophosphate. If your process uses any of these, step up to the 1.9 SG version - storing them in this tank risks deformation and failure. Note that several of these do not run on EPDM: hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, hydrogen peroxide, phosphoric, sodium hypochlorite, and sulfuric all require Viton gaskets, peracetic acid requires Aflas, and sulfuric needs CPVC fittings rather than PVC.
